NINTH SUMMIT OF TURKISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES` HEADS OF STATE UNDERWAY IN NAKHCHIVAN

Nakhchivan, 3 October (AzerTAc). The 9th summit of the Turkish-speaking countries` Heads of State is underway here in Duzdag Hotel.
In front of the hotel, Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Presidents Abdullah Gul of Turkey, Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, Kurmanbek Bakiyev of Kyrgyzstan and vice-chairman of Turkmenistan`s Cabinet of Ministers Khydyr Saparliyev.
The participants of the summit posed for photographs.
President Ilham Aliyev opened the event saying “fundamental changes have taken place to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations among Turkish-speaking countries since the first summit in 1992”.
According to him, the past summits saw fruitful exchange of views on regional and international issues and huge progress in terms of strengthening ties and speeding up economic and social development.
The Heads of State will address the event and sign several documents.
