AZERI NATIONAL SECURITY MINISTER MEETS KAZAKH COUNTERPART
Baku, 2 October (AzerTAc). National Security Minister of Azerbaijan Eldar Mahmudov has met today chairman of Kazakhstan`s National Security Committee Amangeldi Shabdarbaev.
Mahmudov described his Kazakh counterpart`s visit to Azerbaijan as a “next step in developing cooperation between the two countries` relevant structures even more”.
The sides exchanged views on the work done to fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism, illegal trade turnover, migration processes, as well as protection of bioresources of the Caspian Sea.
They underlined the necessity of intensifying exchange of data and experts between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the mentioned areas.
Eldar Mahmudov briefed Shabdarbaev on the work done by his country to fight international terrorism, as well as consequences stemming from the uncontrolled areas emerged in Azerbaijan as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
For his part, Amangeldi Shabdarbaev expressed satisfaction with the results of the discussions which he described as “topical in terms of ensuring security interests of the two countries”.
He also praised the development of relations between relevant bodies of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
