AZERBAIJANI SPEAKER MEETS WORLD BANK OFFICIALS
Baku, 2 October (AzerTAc). Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament Ogtay Asadov today has met here the World Bank`s Director of Sustainable Development Sector Unit in Europe & Central Asia Region Peter Thomson and Regional Director for the South Caucasus Asad Alam.
Asadov praised cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank. The Speaker said since 1995 the World Bank has allocated $2 billion to finance 47 projects in Azerbaijan.
Peter Tomson expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank.
The meeting also discussed a variety of issues of mutual interest.
