AZERI PREMIER MEETS CZECH DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND DEFENSE MINISTER

Baku, 2 October (AzerTAc). Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade has met today Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Martin Bartak.
Rasizade praised the level of relationship between Azerbaijan and Czechia.
According to him, visits by Czech delegations to Azerbaijan contribute to boosting bilateral cooperation even more.
Rasizade also briefed Martin Bartak on ongoing economic reforms in Azerbaijan and the country`s foreign policy priorities.
He noted despite global financial crisis, GDP grew 5% in Azerbaijan in the past eight months of the current year. He added regional projects on transportation of energy resources had successfully been carried out.
Rasizede underlined his country intends to use Czechia`s practice in machine-building and processing industries.
He pointed out Azerbaijan was ready to contribute to Eureope`s energy security.
Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict the Premier noted the “dispute remains unsettled due to aggressive Armenia`s unconstructive position”.
He added the conflict must be settled peacefully and in the frame of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
Rasizade also thanked Czechia for backing Azerbaijan`s stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in international organizations.
Martin Bartak, in turn, said the meetings he held here during the visit would contribute to expanding bilateral cooperation.
He stressed Czechia was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan which he described as a “regional leader” in economic, energy security and military spheres.
