AZERBAIJAN, CZECHIA SIGN AGREEMENT ON MILITARY COOPERATION

Baku, October 1 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Defense Minister, colonel-general Safar Abiyev and Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Martin Bartak has signed today an agreement on military cooperation.
Prior to the signing ceremony the two ministers discussed prospects for development of the bilateral military and military education cooperation and current situation in the South Caucasus.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Abiyev expressed regret over the fact that “15 year long negotiations mediated by Minsk group have given no results”.
He added “Azerbaijan has no other way of liberating its occupied lands but using force as the aggressor Armenia does not want the conflict to be settled by peaceful means”.
Earlier today the Czech Defense Minister visited national leader Heydar Aliyev`s tomb at the Alley of Honors and paid tribute to Azerbaijani martyrs.
