ANNUAL CONGRESS OF LABOR PARTY DISCUSS CONFLICTS IN SOTHERN CAUCASUS AND EUROPE`S ENERGY SECURITY
London, 1 October (AzerTAc). Brighton town of the Great Britain hosted on September 28 a seminar focusing on Conflicts in Sothern Caucasus and Europe`s energy security within annual congress of the British Labor Party, Azerbaijan`s Embassy to Great Britain said.
The event brought together British Minister of State for the Department of Energy and Climate Change Lord Hunt, the Prime Minister's Special Representative on International Energy Malcolm Wicks, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament Mike Gapes, Azerbaijani Ambassador to this country Fakhraddin Gurbanov and representatives of the European Azerbaijan Society in London.
Speakers stressed increasing role of Azerbaijan in ensuring Europe`s energy security. They also praised “effective” energy cooperation between the Great Britain and Azerbaijan.
Speaking on the topic, Azerbaijani ambassador said existing conflicts in the Southern Caucasus, including Nagorno -Karabakh between Armenia-Azerbaijan are obstacles to sufficient use of energy resources of the region and cooperation with European countries.
