FM discusses issues of mutual interest with Indonesian counterpart

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York, discussed issues of mutual interest with his Indonesian counterpart Hassan Wirajuda on Tuesday.

In the meeting, Mottaki by referring to the statements of heads of states of Britain, France and the USA in Pittsburgh meeting concerning Iran's new nuclear installation, said that those powers, who claim to have the world leadership, should not take stances based on wrong information with special political goals.
He added they should measure the accuracy of their claims with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and then take a stance on the issue.
Referring to Iran's negotiation with five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany in Geneva on Thursday October 1, 2009, Mottaki said, "I have already told a number of European countries that do not have pre-judgment and do not act hastily, to listen carefully to the views of the other side."
The Indonesian foreign minister, for his part, also expounded on Indonesia politico-economic situation and the two sides exchanged views on upcoming meeting of ASEAN, the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations, which will be held in October in Indonesia.
