AZERBAIJAN, KOREA DISCUSS PROSPECTS FOR EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION
Baku, September 30 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Education Misir Mardanov has met Korean Ambassador to the country Lu Kwang Chul to explore prospects for deepening the bilateral educational cooperation.
Mardanov stressed the necessity of conducting student exchange.
“Over 60 Azerbaijanis are now studying in Korea under the State Program of education of Azerbaijani youth abroad,” Mardanov added.
Lu Kwang Chul said Korea places a particular emphasis on development of relations with Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador said an Azerbaijani section had recently been opened at the Turkish language department at Korea`s Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
Lu Kwang Chul echoed the Azeri minister`s words, saying “it is important that we be more active in conducting the exchange of students between our higher educational institutions”.
