TURKISH GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SPEAKER VISITS GANJA
Ganja, September 28 (AzerTAc). Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mehmet Ali Sahin has visited Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan.
The Turkish Speaker visited a monument to nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and had a meeting at the Ganja government. Here, Ali Sahin was presented with a carpet depicting great Azerbaijani poet of the 12th century Nizami Ganjavi and Holy Quran.
The Turkish speaker also visited several cultural monuments, including Shah Abbas Mosque, Javad Khan`s tomb, Nizami Ganjavi`s monument and Mir Jalal Pashayev`s house museum.
He also met Turkish businessmen working in the city. They praised the condition created by Azerbaijan`s government for them.
Mehmet Ali Sahin was accompanied by first vice Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov and the country`s ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov.
