MANSUROV WINS WRESTLING GOLD FOR AZERBAIJAN
Baku, September 28 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Greco-Roman wrestler Farid Mansurov weighing in at 66 kg has claimed gold medal in the world championship in Herning, Denmark, bringing the country`s medal haul to ten.
Olympic and world champion Mansurov has secured the title thanks to a 2-0 victory over Georgian Manuchar Tskhadaia to bring the third gold for his country after Mariya Stadnik and Yuliya Ratkevich came out on top in the women`s 48kg and 59kg competitions respectively.
Azerbaijan`s medal haul has also included four silvers and three bronzes.
