TURKISH SPEAKER VISITS AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT
Baku, 26 September (AzerTAc). Speaker of Turkey`s Grand National Assembly, Mehmet Ali Sahin, has today visited Azerbaijan`s parliament to meet his counterpart Ogtay Asadov.
They both praised the Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, saying they were constantly developing.
Asadov said Azerbaijani and Turkish people “are bound up by ties of history and brotherhood”.
The Azeri Speaker said: “We believe Turkey will never adopt a decision that can damage its relationship and friendship with Azerbaijan.”
Ali Sahin echoed his counterpart`s words, vowing “Turkey will never undertake any step contradicting national interests of Azerbaijan”.
The Turkish Speaker also praised Azerbaijan`s contribution to establishing the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries.
