AZERBAIJAN-UK BUSINESS COUNCIL SET UP IN LONDON
Baku, September 25 (AzerTAc). The first constituent meeting of the Azerbaijan-UK business Council has been held in London.
The meeting was attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov, Chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev, British Co-Chair of the Council Lord Howell, Director of the Council Michael Thomas and members of the British House of Lords.
Speaking at the meetingç Lord Howell stressed the relations between the two countries had been expanded in various fields. He noted the Council would contribute to strengthening the bilateral economic and trade relations.
Hajiyev highlighted Azerbaijan`s economic achievements. He said the newly founded council aims to expand the trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and UK.
