AZERI WRESTLERS WIN 5 WORLD MEDALS
Baku, September 24 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan national wrestling team have garnered 5 medals in the world championship in Herning, Denmark, including one gold.
Gold medal came from female wrestler Maria Stadnik weighing in at 48 kg.
Zalimkhan Huseynov, Khetag Gazyumov and Chamsulvara Chamsulvarayev won silver medals in 60 kg, 96 kg and 74 kg weight categories respectively.
Another Azeri wrestler Sharif Sharifov grabbed bronze medal in the 84 kg division.
Three more Azerbaijani female wrestlers – Sona Ahmadli weighing in at 55 kg, Yulia Ratkevich at 59 kg and Olesya Zamula at 63 kg – will be in action later today.
