Thai king has no fever, able to have more food
BANGKOK, Sept 23 (TNA) – Four days after going to hospital for emergency treatment, Thailand’s monarch, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has no fever, and his body temperature has returned to normal, according to the Royal Household Bureau.
The Bureau said in its fourth statement, dated September 23, that the monarch’s fever subsided and disappeared, that his body temperature is normal again. He also is able to have more food and have a good sleep.
His team of physicians have reduced the amount of antibiotics and intravenous fluid he had been prescribed.
The beloved 81-year-old monarch was admitted for medical care to Siriraj Hospital after developing fever and not eating on the weekend.
Since Monday large numbers of the public have come to a specially-designated site at Siriraj Hospital to sign their names in the well-wishing books provided by the Royal Household Bureau. (TNA)
