Price of petrol falls for second week

The price of petrol has fallen for the second week in a row, with the national
average cost of unleaded down to $1.20 a litre.
In the last week petrol has fallen by 2.5 cents, new figures from the Australian
Institute of Petroleum reveal.
The Northern Territory remains the most expensive state or territory to fill up in,
while a six cent drop in South Australia leaves the state the only one where
motorists can get petrol below $1.20 a litre.
"Motorists are finally getting a reprieve," CommSec economist Savanth Sebastian has
written in a weekly market update.
"Oil companies have certainly done their part, slashing a sizeable two and half
cents a litre of the national average price over the last week - marking the
biggest fall in over two months."
Mr Sebastian predicts the price will drop further.
"CommSec expects petrol prices to fall by 3-4 cents a litre over the next fortnight."
