AZERI DEPUTY FM VISITS UK

Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vagif Sadigov made a working trip to Great Britain on September 16-17.
According to Azerbaijan`s embassy to the country, here, Sadigov met with chief of Russia, South Caucasus and Central Asia directorate in UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Michael Davenport.
They exchanged views on several aspects of bilateral relations, opportunities for expansion of cooperation in the education and humanitarian fields.
Speaking on Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, they stressed the conflict impedes to establishment of peace and stability in the Southern Caucasus and region`s integration into Europe.
According to the embassy, Sadigov has also addressed to the conference entitled “Security in South Caucasus: expansion of cooperation with European security structures”.
The conference brought together representatives of the OSCE, European Union, NATO, as well as ambassadors of foreign countries in London.
The attendees discussed various issues, including security in the Southern Caucasus, cooperation of international organizations with regional countries and energy security in Eurasian space.
