“ROUND-TABLE” ON AZERBAIJAN-ISRAEL RELATIONS HELD IN LOS ANGELES
Baku, September 18 (AzerTAc). A “round-table” on development of Azerbaijan-Israel relations took place in Los-Angeles, on September 16.
Consul General of Azerbaijan Elin Suleymanov stressed the rapid development of Azerbaijan-Israel relations over the past years. He also touched on US-Azerbaijan strategic partnership and close development of relationship.
Israeli Consul General Yaakov Dayan named visit of Israeli President Shimon Peres to Azerbaijan as an important event. He underlined that trade between the two countries covers a wide range of areas. Azerbaijan plays an important role in the region, being the country of tolerance, said Mr. Peres.
The both Consuls stressed that a base of Azerbaijan-Israel relations was laid by nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. Mr. Dayan appealed US Jewish Community to support Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by members of the Jewish community.
