BAKU STATE UNIVERSITY RECTOR MEETS RUSSIAN ENVOY
Baku, September 17 (AzerTAc). Rector of the Baku State University (BSU), MP Abel Maharramov has met today Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin.
Maharramov said the people in Azerbaijan highly respect Russian language.
“The BSU is the only higher educational institution where students study Russian in addition to a foreign language they chose,” said Maharramov.
Dorokhin said over 5,000 Azerbaijanis were studying in Russia.
“This shows how much importance the Azerbaijanis attach to Russian language and education in Russia”.
