NATO READY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS IN WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 16 September (AzerTAc). A workshop on the topic “Water resources management in Azerbaijan”, was held at the Foreign Ministry`s Training Center on September 14-15, Ministry`s press service said.
Representatives of NATO`s Science Committee for Peace, experts from Hungary and Slovakia took part at the seminar.
Experts discussed issues related to management of drinkable ground waters, trans-border water resources, mineral waters, purification of polluted waters in the Kur River basin, and the European relevant legislation on water resources management.
Specialists of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Azersu SC, Azerenergy SC and other departments attend the action.
Expert of the NATO`s Science Committee for Peace stated that the Alliance stands ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the mentioned field and make certain suggestions to this end.
