91ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF BAKU MARKED
Baku, 16 September (AzerTAc). A meeting devoted to the 91st anniversary of the date of liberation by the Caucasian Islamic Army of Baku from the bolshevist-dashnak military formations took place yesterday in Baku. The event was organized by Public Association “Graduates of Turkish Universities” (PATU) in the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall.
Speakers at the meeting have noticed that liberation of Baku from bolshevist-dashnak military formations is a bright example of friendly and brotherly ties of the Turkish and Azerbaijani peoples.
Orators have underlined importance of carrying out of such actions from the point of view of preservation of the history, the further development of relations between the two brotherly countries.
In the action, the ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilich and the rector of the Baku State University, MP, academician Abel Maharramov have been declared as honorary members of PATU, for merits in development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
