AZERBAIJANI FINANCE MINISTER ATTENDS MEETING OF COMMONWEALTH FINANCE MINISTERS

Moscow, September 16 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov attended a meeting of finance ministers of CIS member states to discuss measures taken against world economic crisis.
Opening the event, chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev spoke of statistic data characterizing economic situation of the CIS countries.
According to him, results of the discussion held by the CIS finance ministers over finance-economic field will be included in the report to be presented by Russian minister of Finance Alexey Kudrin during the next meeting of the Council of CIS heads of states.
Attending the event, Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation, Minister of Finance Alexey Kudrin spoke of mutual activity of CIS states to eliminate results of economic crisis.
He stressed the session of the council prepared initiatives, Russia have to introduce on behalf of the CIS to the participants of G20 at the summit in the USA.
Commenting on the results of the meeting, Samir Sharifov said the meeting discussed the finance-economic situation in CIS states and ways to combat with crisis.
Stressing the importance of the meeting, Sharifov said the event was useful and constructive.
