AZERBAIJAN, EU DISCUSS ENERGY COOPERATION
Baku, September 15 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs to discuss prospects for energy cooperation between the country and the organization.
Piebalgs praised Azerbaijan`s “important role in ensuring energy security of Europe”.
He also underlined the EU is interested in expanding energy cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan places a particular emphasis on bilateral relations with the union.
