AZERBAIJAN CLAIMS 4th JUDO MEDAL IN YEREVAN
Baku, September 12 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s young judo fighter Ramin Gurbanov weighing in at 81 kg has garnered bronze medal in the European championship in Yerevan, Armenia, increasing the country`s medal haul to four.
Gurbanov secured the title thanks to a victory over Ukrainian Alexander Derkach with an ippon.
On the first day of the competition, Azeri judo fighters Ilgar Mushkiyev weighing in at 55 kg grabbed silver, while Rasim Asadullayev and Fagan Eminoglu won bronzes in the 60 kg and 66 kg divisions respectively.
Tomorrow Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on Elmar Gasimov in the 100 kg class.
