Japan Ad Revenue Sinks 16 Pct in July
Tokyo, Sept. 11 (Jiji Press)--Revenue at advertising agencies in
July fell 16.6 pct from a year before to 366,243 million yen, losing ground for the 17th straight month, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Friday.
Revenue from ads placed on the four major media
categories--television, radio, magazine and newspaper--declined 16.7 pct.
Revenue from Internet ads was down 3.4 pct.
The ministry also said that revenue at information service
companies fell 1.3 pct to 686,884 million yen, the second consecutive
decline.
