BAKU HOSTS 3RD INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AND CAREER EXHIBITION
ITECA Caspian LTD, the exclusive partner of the ITE Group – the leading organizer of the international trade exhibitions and conferences in the South Caucasus opened the 3rd International Education and Career Exhibition in Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku.
The exhibition is supported by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This year, 53 organizations and companies from 12 countries are taking part in the exhibition. Azerbaijan's education system will be demonstrated by the following institutions: Azerbaijan University of Foreign Languages, Azerbaijan State Economics University, Azerbaijan University, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and many others. This year, Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (Ganja), the only university in the country that trains specialists for working in agriculture, and Baku Professional Lyceum will appear at the exhibition for the first time. A new development in the exhibition is the participation of non-governmental youth organisations and associations, which has been organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan.
The exhibition will present secondary and higher education, study courses, work abroad, language courses, professional development, job placements, study materials and information technology in education. New sectors will be added to Education and Career 2009. For the first time, the exhibition will present school uniforms; ‘Preschool Education' will present programme and tests for preparing children for middle school. Continuing the trend of the previous exhibition, ‘Education Abroad' will include a wide range of educational establishments from Switzerland, Great Britain, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary and many other countries. The stand of the Ministry of Education of Belarus will bring together four Belarusian state universities.
A highlight of the exhibition will be the business information and entertainment programme. Over three days, online presentations will be given on educational programmes, career training, courses. Leading specialists will give master classes on presentation skills, and how to use technology in preparing and giving presentations. There will also be a master class on career planning, which will detail the theoretical knowledge and skills necessary for planning one's career.
The aim of the Azerbaijan International Education & Career Exhibition is to create a platform for dialogue between employers, educational institutions and young people. It is the largest event of its kind in the region, and informs young people about the development of local and international education. The exhibition will give full information about cultural exchange programmes and study in Azerbaijan and abroad. Additionally, the show will give visitors the opportunity to experience the ‘esprit de corps' of those companies with vacancies to fill, and help them to discover which professions are most in demand at the moment.
