BAKU PLAYS HOST TO INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR
Baku, September 10 (AzerTAc). On September 10-12 Baku will host the First Baku International Book Fair. The event will take place in Baku Museum Centre as part of the “Baku-capital of Islamic Culture 2009” year.
The exhibition-fair welcomes participants and guests from over 20 countries. The Azerbaijani exposition features books, textbooks and magazines published in the country since 2007.
Books released in accordance with the Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev’s Decree and also books supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism are exhibited on the ground floor. Here are pavilions “Azerbaijan in foreign press” and “Unforgettable Karabakh”. The exhibition also features lots of books released and supported by Heydar Aliyev Foundation. These books feature Azerbaijani culture, history, pieces of Azerbaijan classical authors, critics and scholars in different languages.
The international Baku book fair also features books presentations, round tables, meetings and debates.
