Qashqavi: Iran supports Yemen’s unity, territorial integrity

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said here Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been supporting the unity and territorial integrity of Yemen, voicing concern over what affects stability and tranquility of Yemen. As has told the Yemeni brothers, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not consider continued clashes in Yemen’s interests, calling for settlement of problems facing the country through peaceful and diplomatic ways. In this line, Iran is ready to offer any sort of help,” said Qashqavi in an interview with reporters.

Noting that Iran’s talks with Yemeni officials are aimed to guarantee continued promotion of security in Yemen, Qashqavi said that Iran has on ample occasions supported the Yemeni government and nation.

He said promotion and consolidation of relations between the two countries and broader mutual cooperation in line with mutual interests will serve interests of the region and the world of Islam. Iran stresses better ties and cooperation with Yemen in political, economic, security and cultural spheres, he added.

On Yemeni President’s comments, Qashqavi said Iran and Yemen have cooperation in different levels.
