“KOROGLU” OPERA STAGED IN BISHKEK
Bishkek, 9 September (AzerTAc). The A. Maldibayev National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Kyrgyzstan staged the “Koroglu” (The Blind Man`s Son) opera, the masterpiece of Uzeyir Hajibayov, Azerbaijan`s renowned composer and dramatist. As earlier was reported, the spectacle is dedicated to 15th anniversary of TURKSOY which has supported the project.
This cultural event is of great importance for the Turkic world and was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan U. Abdullayeva, minister of culture and tourism of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Rayev, Secretary General of TURKSOY D. Kaseinov, men of culture and literature, as well as collaborators of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Bishkek, students an journalists.
In the opera, directed by Aflatun Nematzade, Azeri producer working in Turkey, starring are soloists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Tatarstan.
The Azeri opera is among the hundred great operas of world, Bolotbek Osmonov, director of the A. Maldibayev Theater, stressed. “We are going to stage other Turkic operas as well”, the director noted.
