ANAMA DESTROYS 4894 UXOS AND MINES IN AUGUST
Baku, September 9 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared 2,618,950 sq. meters area of land from 9,430 Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) in August.
Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 5 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine mine detection dogs.
To date, ANAMA has cleared 110,263,642sq.m. of land, destroying 477,602 mines and UXOs.
The Agency has carried demining operations in Tartar, Agdam, Fizuli, Tovuz, Akstafa and Garadag region.
