Iran, Russia to expand cooperation in book fairs

Iran and Russia will expand cooperation in the field book fairs, said deputy head of Tehran International Book Fair, Hamid Qobadi.

He referred to his meeting with the head of Moscow International Book Fair, Nikolay Ovsyannikov, and said that it was agreed to prepare the ground for active presence at the book fairs in both countries.

He said that this is the third time that Tehran Book Fair is participating at Moscow Book Exhibition and that the presence was earlier discussed by heads of the Iran and Moscow book fairs.

Qobadi further noted that Iran’s pavilions in the event was warmly welcomed. This was due to the profound ties between the two countries and operation of Persian language departments in Russia.

The one-week 22nd International Moscow Book Fair attended by 55 countries including Iran ended on Monday.
