CHAIRMAN OF SUPREME ASSEMBLY OF NAKHCHIVAN AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC MEETS GREEK AMBASSADOR
Baku, September 9 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov met with Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ioannis Metaksas and deputy chief of mission George Papanikolaou.
Mr. Talibov praised development of relations between the two countries. He said an official visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Greece, in February gave an impetus to close cooperation with the country. During a visit of former Ambassador of Greece to Nakhchivan, in May 2006, cooperation in various areas, including exchange of students between the Nakhchivan State University and Universities of Greece was in the focus of meeting, Chairman added.
Greek Ambassador highly valued the current relations between the two countries.
