UKRAINIAN EMBASSY MARKS INDEPENDENCE DAY IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, September 8 (AzerTAc). Ukrainian embassy to Azerbaijan has today arranged a celebrative event to mark the country`s Independence Day.
Ambassador Boris Klimchuk spoke of Ukraine`s achievements after gaining independence.
Touching upon the Ukraine-Azerbaijan relations, the ambassador underlined Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s contribution in bringing the two countries` peoples closer to each other. .
He also praised interparliamentary relations, saying “MPs of both countries have common views on a number of international issues”.
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Education Misir Mardanov congratulated the Ukrainian people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
Azeri MPs and ambassadors of foreign countries were present at the event.
