AZERBAIJAN BOOK COLLECTION CREATED IN INDONESIAN NATIONAL LIBRARY
Baku, September 7 (AzerTAc). The event has been held in Indonesia as the collection of Azerbaijani books was created in the National Library of this country, Azerbaijan embassy to Indonesia reported.
Azerbaijan ambassador Ibrahim Hajiyev said at the event that the creation of the collection featuring printed and electronic items is one of the tasks President Ilham Aliyev set to Azerbaijani embassies. He expressed hope that Azerbaijan National Library would include the Indonesia collection as well.
Hajiyev told of Azerbaijan`s geostrategic position, history, development, increasing prestige in the region and world and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Acting director of the Indonesia National Library Lilik Sulistiovati praised creation of the Azerbaijan collection, adding it would contribute to development of bilateral relations.
The draft memorandum on cooperation between national libraries of Azerbaijan and Indonesia was agreed at the event.
The collection has been brought into existence at the initiative of the embassy and support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
