Police search for missing woman camper

Police have launched a full-scale search for a woman who went missing from a Top End
campsite after walking to a nearby billabong.
The woman, named as 29-year-old Romy Bottrill, was socialising with friends at a
campsite at the Bark Hut Inn, near the Mary River crossing on the Arnhem Highway
about 110km southeast of Darwin, police said.
She left for the billabong about 3am (CST) on Sunday and has not been seen since.
"Police conducted an initial ground search around midday today and have now upgraded
the report to a full-scale search given the heat of the day, the harshness of the
environment and the proximity to the Mary River," a police spokesman said.
Ms Bottrill is described as a tall and slim Caucasian with fair skin.
She was last seen wearing a white dress and no shoes.
