Swedish FM: European Union ready for dialogue with Iran

Swedish Foreign Minister, whose country is currently rotating chairman of the EU, said that the EU is ready for dialogue with Iran on nuclear issue.

Carl Bildt, who was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of meeting with foreign ministers of 27 member states of the EU said that if Iranians are ready for interaction with us, we are ready for cooperation, too.
He added that EU has proposed a generous plan and wants to cooperate with Iran in many issues, including developments of peaceful nuclear technology.
German Minister of State for Europe Gunter Gloser also said that EU does not want to impose more sanctions against Iran, but a nuclear race should not start in the Middle East.
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, who is in Stockholm , too, expressed doubt about usefulness of following up negotiations with Iran on nuclear issue and said, "Negotiation with Iran during the past three years has had no achievement, but we continue to dialogue more."
Meanwhile, Secretary of National Security Supreme Council Saeed Jalili said on Tuesday that Iran is ready for cooperation to remove international concerns.
He expressed Iran’s readiness to submit country’s new proposal package.
