US COUNTERPART INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION IMPLEMENTS NEW PROJECT IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, September 2 (AzerTAc). US Counterpart International Humanitarian Organization repaired sanitary conveniences in the boarding school No3 of Nizami region of Baku for hard-of-hearing children.
Gerald Oberndorfer, Director of Humanitarian Assistance for Europe and Eurasia at the United States Department of State underlined that numerous projects have been implementing in Azerbaijan since 1992. He noted that Counterpart International has been functioning in Azerbaijan since 1997 and rendered assistance worth 65 mln dollars. He noted that additional 6 projects will be implemented in the country in 2010.
Head of public relations department of US Embassy to Azerbaijan Terry Davidson emphasized that the project is aimed at improving hygienic conditions of the school.
Director of Сounterpart international program on CIS countries Sergey Khromchenko noted that the project covered 52 regions of Azerbaijan over the past years.
The guests familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the boarding school.
