Iran produce joint films with Afghanistan, Kazakhstan

Iran’s Association of Youth Cinema produced three films in cooperation with relevant Afghan and Kazakh institutes.

According to the Public Relations Department of the association, in line with promoting cooperation with ECO member states, the film ‘Accident Doesn’t Happen by Itself’ directed by Amir Houshang Danaei was produced in collaboration with Kazakh Institute of People's Education (KINO) while the films ‘Kohan Dej’ directed by Shafaq Choupan and ‘Stars Are Awake’ by Mohammad Taqi Seraj were made jointly with National Afghan Film Institute.

The film ‘Accident Doesn’t Happen by Itself’ deals with the relationship between an Iranian Muslim young man and Kazakh Muslims as well as the two countries' cultural bonds.

‘Kohan Dej’ focuses on tyrannies of Taliban and public resistance in different parts of Afghanistan while ‘Stars Are Awake’ narrates the situation facing the Shiites in Afghanistan after war and reconstruction of mosques in the war-torn country.

Association of Youth Cinema has recently set up Youth Cinema Office in Khartoum, Sudan and it also has similar plans in Iraq and Tajikistan at the request of those countries.
