Iran donates 250 titles of books to Ankara University
Iran’s Cultural Office in Ankara donated 250 titles of newly-published books to the Persian Department of Ankara University.
The books include 100 titles of publication on selected contemporary poetry, 40 titles of stories and novels, 25 titles of books for children and young adults as well as 87 volumes of books on Persian culture and literature.
Ankara University’s Persian Language Department is the oldest and prestigious department in Turkey.
This year has been designated as the ‘Cultural Year of Iran-Turkey’ by the presidents of the two countries in view of 50th anniversary of signing a cultural educational agreement by the two countries.
Turkey is a Eurasian country that is bordered by eight countries: Bulgaria to the northwest, Greece to the west, Georgia to the northeast, Armenia, Azerbaijan (the enclave of Nakhichevan) and Iran to the east, and Iraq and Syria to the southeast.
