Iranian firms well received in Turkmen Construction Exhibit

Iranian companies participating in the International Construction Exhibition titled ‘Turkmengurlushyk-2009’ which opened on August 20 have been accorded warm welcome.

More than 100 companies from 20 countries including Iran have put on display their achievements during the three-day event.

Iranian companies taking part in the exhibition are: Iran Khodro Co., Nosa Co., Straus International Contracting Co., Part Loader Co. and Stratus Co.

The exhibit features the achievements and prospects of construction industry.

Well reception of the arch bridge ‘Karoun 3’ built in Iran astonished foreign companies, in addition to those of Turkmenistan.

Payman Owjian, director of the commercial department of Stratus Company, which built the bridge told IRNA that directors of Korean firms called for explanations on the technical aspects of the project.

Foreign ambassadors based in Turkmenistan repeatedly visited the company’s pavilion and asked for a CD showing the construction process of the bridge, he said.

Owjian further noted that the company has so far undertaken various development projects in foreign countries such as Pakistan and Yemen and is currently engaged in constructing housing units in Venezuela.
