AZERBAIJAN EARNS AZN 116.2 MILLION FROM TRAFFIC VIA EUROPE-CAUCASUS-ASIA TRANSPORT CORRIDOR
Baku, August 22 (AzerTAc). Cargo and passenger traffic via the Azerbaijan sector of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor brought in AZN 116.2 million. Half of revenues came from the railway transport while the remaining 24.5% from motor transport, 25.8% from sea transport.
Cargo traffic via the Azerbaijan sector of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor made up 21.1 million tons while passenger traffic 99.4 million.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the share of the railway transport in the overall amount of cargo traffic constituted 44.6%, motor transport 37.2% and sea transport 18.2%.
