Webber upbeat as F1 resumes in Spain

Formula One star Mark Webber is confident Red Bull's stockpile of championship
points will allow it to fend off the resurgent Ferrari and McLaren teams.
The F1 series resumes at the European GP on the streets of Valencia in Spain this
weekend with Webber optimistic about the team's chances.
The Australian is in the midst of his best season in the sport and has climbed to
second place in the title behind Briton Jenson Button.
Button, who won six races earlier in the year in his Brawn, has amassed 70 points
with Webber in second place with 18.5 points.
Webber continued Red Bull's dominance when he won his maiden grand prix in Germany
recently.
But reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton gave McLaren a belated victory in the
following race in Hungary with Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari second.
McLaren and Ferrari had been unable to match the pace of the Brawn and Red Bull cars
in the first half of the season and Webber believes that his team now has a handy
points buffer.
"Thankfully we capitalised in the early part of the championship when these guys
were struggling in terms of points, which was a big benefit to us," Webber said.
"Lewis is back, Ferrari are back - we knew they would - and that's what Red Bull
likes. We love racing these guys and fighting hard against them.
"We are still up there. We haven't been blown away by any means. We are in the hunt,
and we can take our car to a lot of venues and be competitive.
"Our guys have a lot of positive things to look forward to."
Red Bull bosses are still waiting to see whether to favour Webber or his young
German teammate Sebastian Vettel for the title race.
Webber, who leads Vettel by 4.5 points, predicts the pair will continue their push
to the top of the table at Valencia.
"I think Sebastian and I can still fight the Brawns," he said.
"We know they've had a bit of a blip in the last three races, which we hope
continues and we can continue to take points out of them together."
