AZERI CHESS PLAYER DEFEATS GERMAN RIVAL
Baku, 20 August (AzerTAc). The 5TH round of chess festival in Vienna has come to an end.
Representing Azerbaijan at the tournament, Grand Master Namig Guliyev (2555) has defeated the German chess player Paul Hoffman and with 4 points holds the 25th place.
The fixture list is headed by Andrey Kovalev (Belarus) and Shoker (Egypt) who garnered 5 points.
The tournament on the Swiss system brings together 353 chess players.
Competitions will come to an end on 23 August.
