RENOWNED RUSSIAN PUBLICIST YURI POMPEYEV VISITS HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION

Baku, 17 August (AzerTAc).Renowned Russian publicist, author of the book “Bloody maelstrom of Karabakh”, Prof. Yuri Pompeyev has visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation today. The guest was briefed on the history and goals of the Foundation, established as a tribute to the national leader Heydar Aliyev. Familiarizing himself with the photos and documents reflecting different periods of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s life and activity, Prof. Pompeyev has displayed a particular interest in childhood, youth and student years of the outstanding political leader as well as his large-scale political activity as a member of USSR government.
The guest was informed that the main goal of the Foundation is to study and popularize Heydar Aliyev`s rich heritage, give an idea to the future generations about his large-scale activity to achieve Azerbaijan’s socio-economic, cultural progress, and assist projects that popularize the history and culture of Azerbaijan.
