MUSLIM MAGOMAYEV COMMEMORATED
Baku, 17 August (AzerTAc). August 17 is the birthday of the world-known, outstanding singer and composer Muslim Magomayev, People`s Artist of Azerbaijan and the USSR.
On this occasion, the officials and renowned men of art and culture, public figures have visited the Alley of Honors in Baku to revere memory of the great singer, buried here on personal effort and initiative of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, and put flowers on his grave.
Minister of Culture Abulfaz Garayev and others shared their memories about the great Azerbaijani, spoke of huge contribution of Muslim Magomayev to the Azerbaijani and world music, about his bright talent and brilliant compositions, operas, unforgettable romances and pop songs he performed in different times.
