WB rainfed agriculture project in Yemen discussed
SANA'A, Aug. 15 (Saba)- Minister
of Agriculture and Irrigation Mansor al-Hoshabi held a meeting on Saturday with the
advisor
of World Bank of preparing a document of climate change and livestock variety
project in Yemen over measures and future steps related to the project rainfed
agriculture and
livestock wealth.
They also discussed ongoing arrangements for holding a workshop on Sunday over a
project of the rainfall agriculture and livestock wealth.
Level of implementation of the project and it importance to the poor families in
targeted provinces' Sana'a, Hajjah, al-Mahweet, Hodeidah and Lahj, were discussed.
The Yemen Rainfed Agriculture and Livestock Project contributes to the higher
development objectives of reducing poverty in rural areas and improving natural
resources management.
The project enables poor rural producers in rainfed areas to improve production,
processing, and marketing systems, protect their assets, and get organized.
