RELIGION-GOVERNMENT RELATIONSHIP IN AZERBAIJAN REGULATED IN CIVILIZED MANNER

Baku, August 15 (AzerTAc). Additions and changes made recently to the Law on Freedom of Religion in Azerbaijan help regulate relationship between religion and government in a more civilized manner, chairperson of Milli Majlis committee on human rights Rabiyyat Aslanova said.
Aslanova noted the additions, in accordance with Article 18. 2 of Azerbaijan`s Constitution, prohibit spread and propaganda of religions which humiliate people`s dignity and contradict the principles of humanism.
All religious organizations can act as a juridical person only after being registered by relevant executive body, Aslanova added.
