LATVIAN LEADER VISITS GABALA REGION OF AZERBAIJAN
Gabala, August 13 (AzerTAc). As part of his Gabala trip, President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers and his spouse Lilita Zatlere visited the Local History Museum here on Wednesday.
The museum features over 12 thousand items reflecting the 2500-year history of Gabala. The old Latvian note drew the President`s attention. He presented a new Latvia`s banknote to the museum.
Later, the President and his wife visited the Gilan Holding`s Gabala tinned food factory. The plant`s capacity is 250 thousand tons. It exports its goods to 14 countries.
The President also visited the Gabala Treatment and Diagnostic Center.
Later the same day, Latvia President returned to Baku

During his tour of the north-west region of Azerbaijan, President of Latvia Valdis Zatler was accompanied by chief of the Presidential Administration’s department for working with regional self-government and institutions of the self-government Zeynal Nagdaliyev, Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadigov and other officials.
