PRESIDENT OF LATVIA ARRIVES IN SHEKI
Shaki, August 12 (AzerTAc). Latvian President Valdis Zatlers has arrived yesterday in Sheki city of Azerbaijan.
He started his trip visiting the Khan Sarayı (The Khan Palace). He and his spouse Lilita Zatlere viewed Sheki`s ancient streets from the veranda of the Palace.
From here the Latvian leader went to Kish village and visited Holy Yelisey Temple.
The Latvian president has also visited “Sheki-Silk” OSC and signed the Guest Book.
Latvian president and his spouse then had a conversation with several inhabitants of the province in front of “Yukhari Karvansara” Hotel.
During the conversation, Mr. Zatlers expressed satisfaction with his Azerbaijan trip, saying “this visit will be a new stage for bilateral relations”.
From Sheki, the Latvian delegation left for Gabala region.
