BAKU TO HOST INTERNATIONAL CHESS TOURNAMENT

Baku, August 12 (AzerTAc). An International “Baku Open-2009” chess tournament dedicated to the Independence Day will be held here in the hotel “Bilgah” located in Zagulba settlement, on September 20-30. The organizers of the tournament are the Ministry of Sport and Youth and Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
The prize fund of the competition is $60 000.
The Swiss system tournament will consist of 9 rounds.
