Iran-Iraq intend to solve border issues: General

Commander of Iran’s Border Control Department said that Iran and Iraq intend to solve border problems.

Brigadier General Qasem Rezaei, in a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart in Khosravi border point, Kermanshah Province, on Tuesday said that negotiation between the two sides is upon Algeria Agreement of 1975.
The meeting started two years ago and the first meeting of senior commanders of both countries border departments was held on Tuesday.
Rezaei added that Iran and Iraq have 1,600 kilometers of common borders with 11 borders points and all border points chiefs were present in the meeting.
He said that the next meeting will be held in Iraq.
